How Touchtown Digital Signage Works
Touchtown Digital Signage, like all Touchtown products, is administered through an ordinary web browser with no downloads or installations required. Announcements, schedules, menus, message crawls and even Digital Signage layout are managed by this internet-based system.
All content is stored safely on servers at Touchtown's secure data center. From there, it is continuously synchronized with a small device called the mini-Broadcaster that is mounted behind the flat screen TV. The mini-Broadcaster receives updates via the internet, composes the television signal, and sends it directly to the video or HDMI input jack in the TV.
Installing Touchtown Digital Signage is easy, and is generally done by customers. Touchtown provides easy to read, step-by-step instructions, and works with customers over the phone (at no charge) to answer any questions that may arise.
